Inspiration
What it does
Shiny Scan help collectors inspect trading cards before grading, selling, or trading them.
It is designed around the iPhone Duo’s fold: place a card on one side of the inner display, then use the opposite side to project light patterns while the camera records the card to be able grade the card in a matter of seconds.
How we built it
Opus 5.5 + Bitrig :)
Challenges we ran into
I ran into an issue where I need to have a consistent and moving lighting matrix to make sure the scratches and imperfections were captured.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Taking this from idea this morning to something tangible in hours! :)
What we learned
That Bitrig is a great tool to use for apps!
What's next for Shiny Scan
I want to get an iphone duo and get a card graded & sell it!
