Inspiration

We both know how confusing and difficult learning about money and finances can be (especially for kids), so we made a website that helps others learn about money in a fun and engaging way. We both have younger siblings and we want them to have opportunities for financial success.

What it does

It helps kids grasp the concept of how money and finances work through story games, and calculator games. It also engages the player in the concept of saving and how important it is.

How we built it

We made the games on Scratch and the website on Replit using html and css.

Challenges we ran into

We were debating whether or not we should have made an app but we decided a website would be executed better and be more user-friendly as well as more available on various devices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the progress that we made while still having fun while still going to all the events that we want. We are also proud of the character design and consistency.

What we learned

We learned how to have better time management and that having backup plans are important.

What's next for Shilo's Bank

Adding more games, developing it into an app.
