Inspiration
As avid video game players, we sometimes run into cheaters while playing. These cheaters ruin the gaming experience for the other players as they gain an unfair advantage. In order to combat this issue, we want to develop an AI-based anti-cheat that is highly effective and non-invasive to each user's personal computer.
What it does
Our AI-based anti-cheat is a model trained on thousands of hours of gameplay, including gameplay from both cheaters and non-cheaters. When a player is reported for suspicious in-game activity numerous times, videos of their gameplay will be analyzed by our AI, and if they are deemed to be cheating, they will be prohibited from playing the game.
Challenges we ran into
We had never used Figma before, nor were we particularly creative people, so figuring out how to design a prototype was especially challenging.
What we learned
After just over an hour, we managed to figure out Figma to the point where we could use its templates and modify them such that they took the form of our artistic vision.
What's next for ShieldingEye
We would like to actually have our anti-cheat implemented in real life to study its effectiveness before having it commercialized.
