Inspiration
I have been wanting to create a tracking project specifically in Python.
What it does
This is intended to track the up to the second trading price of Shibu Inu. This is vital for those whom are waiting for it to hit the .01 mark.
How we built it
Built this with Python, tkinter, requests and json. With the pull request to get the data call from Cryptocompare.com.
Challenges we ran into
When I ran the file, during testing I could not get the system to import requests. While I can see the resource is installed, I have been unable to get it to pull and test efficiently. I had difficulties utilizing my API keys from CoinMarketCap which is one of the most notable for tracking Crypto prices, volume and burn rate.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Submitting the project. While I am not proud of the final product, the major milestone for me personally is to finally submit something.
What we learned
I definitely need more time to work with API keys and testing more effectively and efficiently.
What's next for Shibu Inu CryptoCurrency Price Tracker
I am currently working to move this project to be backed by AstraDB to create a repository of historical data for Shibu. Also looking to expand this to Doge Coin and that historical data would consist of public information on traditional infrastructure accepting these two coins for payments. This will also be utilized to show the impact of that news on the price of the coins.
