Inspiration

I aimed to provide a supportive environment for tracking menstrual cycles, gaining insights into bodily changes, and accessing reliable information and relief strategies related to period health. This initiative stemmed from my recognition of the importance of accessible and personalized health tools for women, fostering a proactive approach to wellness and addressing common challenges associated with menstrual cycles

What it does SheStrong is my period tracker and wellness application, designed to help users monitor

their menstrual cycles, understand their body's patterns, and find relief from common period-related discomforts. I've built it to offer several key features: • Period Tracking and Prediction: Users can log their last period start date, and the app predicts future periods and ovulation days based on their cycle length. This helps them anticipate their cycles and plan accordingly. • Personalized Insights: I've included information about different phases of the menstrual cycle (menstruation, follicular, ovulation, luteal) and offer wellness tips relevant to each phase. For example, during ovulation, it suggests users might feel more social and energetic. • Educational Resources: The 'Learn' section provides evidence-based information on various topics, including understanding the menstrual cycle, period facts and myths, and hygiene and product guides. My goal here is to educate users and debunk common misconceptions. • Natural Pain Relief Strategies: The 'Relief' section offers natural remedies for period discomforts, such as heat therapy (hot water bottle, warm bath, heating pad), nutrition and hydration tips, and gentle movement suggestions. • Symptom Logging: Users can log their symptoms, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of their individual experiences and patterns throughout their cycle. • User Profile and Settings: The profile section displays key cycle information (cycle length, period length, current phase, next period) and allows users to adjust cycle settings, manage notifications, and review privacy policies

How we built it

We developed SheStrong using Bolt new only. We focused on intuitive UI/UX design and and prompts.

Challenges we ran into

  1. feeding the accurate data
  2. giving detail prompt for the UI
  3. accuracy and personalization of cycle predictions

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully implementing a highly accurate prediction model, creating an intuitive and visually appealing user interface, and building a secure system for personal health data

What we learned

The importance of user-centric design in health applications, the complexities of biological data modeling, and the critical need for data privacy and security.

What's next for SheStrong

We plan to integrate educational resources on menstrual health, add personalized insights based on tracked data, incorporate community support features, and potentially explore integrations with wearable devices
