Inspiration

SheShield was inspired by the need for a discreet, reliable safety tool that blends seamlessly with everyday apps.

What it does

SheShield appears as a weather app but includes covert safety features to discreetly alert contacts or share location in emergencies.

How we built it

-SwiftUI: For creating a clean, user-friendly interface that mimics a regular weather app. -MapKit: For real-time location sharing, enabling users to send their coordinates in emergencies. State Management: To manage secret mode and the visibility of different detail views.

Challenges we ran into

-Discrete Controls: Ensuring that all actions and safety alerts could be triggered without drawing attention. -Privacy and Security: Balancing ease of use with secure handling of location and emergency contact information.

Creating a functional demo of an app that can be helpful to women in the future
