Inspiration
Countless women in informal economies across Africa lack the knowledge to access banking services and are excluded from the digital world for their businesses. They encounter constant risks of fraud, theft, and financial instability without resources designed to meet their specific needs. This inspired us to develop SheSecure, a secure and accessible financial system that empowers women using AI, voice technology, and provide them with digital literacy.
What it does
SheSecure is a mobile app powered by AI, specifically tailored for African women engaged in informal occupations such as street vending, domestic work, and small-scale trading. It offers:
- Financial coaching via voice activation for users with low literacy levels
- Fraud and scam detection utilizing AI trained on local scam behaviors
- Assistance with budgeting and savings, featuring daily reminders
- Emergency Safety PIN that secures the app
- Digital literacy support in local languages
- A community-driven system for reporting fraud
