instruction

WEBSERVICE:

  1. Make database for information received from ServerReporterService from “INSERT” file
  2. Publish webservice on IIS
  3. Set “MyConnection” to database in App.config file
  4. Set connection credentials for connecting with ServerReporterService

ServerReporterService:

  1. After build go to the location of ServiceReporterService.exe in command prompt (opened as administrator)
  2. Type ServerReporterService.exe install
  3. Go to the windows services, then find and click right mouse button on ServerReporterService and set LogOn options to Administrator account
  4. Edit .config file and set credentials to the web service (from 4 point in webservice configuration) and address for this webservice

Nx Server Monitor This part is staerted by excetuting the .exe file. Its is connected to WebService that connects Monitor Reporter to Nx Server Monitor. The first screen shows the client’s view, where user can see all of the servers in the database. There is a need to choose the server the user wants to check. And the user can choose the application pool and windows services they want to show bgy clicking „cofiguration” buttons. The server view shows info from servers’ disks, uls, event viewer, all application pools and windows services. After clicking them the user can see a table with all the specific info.
