Inspiration
We want to give newcomers a better experience when they arrive in a new city. It's not everybody who knows the language in the city they are going in and we think this is a major problem for some persons.
What it does
You can enter a keyword in any language and our app will translate it and find the services related around the person. Also, there is a word cloud of the most popular keywords around you. We also want to help people connect together. So we are planning to register place of interest amongst people of the same country and suggest them to newcomers.
Parternership
We want to make a parternship with the Service d'aide au Néo-canadiens to help us reach out the users we are aiming for. https://www.sanc-sherbrooke.ca/

Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to connect a lot of databases together. We also learned a new language and new frameworks. We think that we offers a unique service for newcomers in any city around the world.
What's next for Discover Sherbrooke
We want to use the datas we get from the user settings. With that we could do statistics to help give better suggestions to our users. More over, we could use these statistics to do dashboards for enterprises.
We also want to add a section to help finds jobs and a section to help people connect together.
