Inspiration

I really wanted to try an endless runner style game for the longest, and what better place to try than a hackathon.

What it does

The game is a endless runner style, where you race through traffic trying to avoid collisions while the game gets substantially more difficult.

How we built it

I built the game on unity using c#, I would say somewhere around 500 lines of code.

Challenges we ran into

the most difficult challenge was creating an endless loop where the level speed increments every certain time, and spawning new items into a scene while at the same time making it efficient to run smooth.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that I was able to build a semi-finished product that can be enjoyed and played by many without a difficult learning curve.

What we learned

I learned the concept of endless runner games, and how to apply that to other projects.

What's next for Shellhacks RACING Game

Next I would love to add dynamic AI to the traffic, new cars, option to customize vehicles and upgrades for the game in general.
