Inspiration
I understand that women face numerous challenges when it comes to finding a job, competing in male-dominated spaces, and battling issues like gender bias and discrimination. Too often, a woman’s hard work goes unrecognized, her voice is nullified others. My inspiration comes from the women who, despite these challenges, refuse to remain silent and continue to persevere. I am driven by a desire to make a difference in their lives, helping them gain confidence and take their first step.
What it does
To address these issues, I created a website with three core features: Skill-Based Job Finder– A tool that matches users with jobs based on their unique skill sets. Negotiator Simulator **– An interactive feature designed to help women build confidence and practice salary negotiations. **Resume Maker– A user-friendly tool for crafting impactful resumes to support job applications.
How we built it
I have simply used HTML,CSS and JAVA for this project and made it into a website.
Challenges we ran into
One of the major challenges I faced was trying to find an idea that could genuinely make an impact. While I am still refining my vision, this project has been a transformative experience for me.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I very proud proud of what i was able to achieve and bring to life as i learned a lot during the whole project. It taught me new coding techniques, broadened my understanding of web development, and encouraged me to think critically about accessibility and user impact.
What's next for SheLeads
I want to keep expanding my project adding new techniques and new projects into the website.
