Inspiration
We wanted to build a bridge between the fun in Big Bang Theory and the learning in MLH: Local Hack Day-Build.
What it does
It allows you to play the super fun, Sheldon's rendition of Rock, Paper and Scissors along with Lizard and Spock🖖.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS and JS.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a load of challenges a list of which would be too long to describe but here are a few of them:
- We had the minimal knowledge on all of the programming languages so we started from scratch using Scratch!
- Scratch was way too complicated for our pea brains 😬 though it is supposed to make things easier.
- We had to refer a lot of YouTube videos and other projects to come up with an idea of how to build it.
- Though we had enough resources, it took us about 3 hours to figure out how to link all the front-end and back-end files together🤯.
- It took us an additional hour to figure out how to deploy it while keeping the original images intact.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're very proud to be able to deploy our first ever website!🎉
What we learned
We learned that team work makes the dream work! (Also a little coding on the side😅)
What's next for Sheldon's Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock
We would like to improve the present design by maybe incorporating Sheldon himself!
