Inspiration
OxHack had signifcant delays in the food arriving to the venue, which meant there was a subsequent disruption in participants scheduled eating window.
What it does
Helps event organisers gauge estimated delivery times and enables tracking of everything food related.
How we built it
Using TypeScript, next.js, CSS, PostgresSQL
Challenges we ran into
We had a screen timer app where we wanted to "save and waste time" however there were many technical difficulties - the pomodoro technique wasn't working, liquid glass was breaking my friends Xcode so he couldn't test the app for himself, we were very sad and unhappy.
We ended up pivoting to this project Comeda (which means food in Italian), but before we used to have a time blocking app where you could waste and save time. However it was so buggy we ended up abandoning it. it is the oxford-sheep repo: https://github.com/techparamveer/oxhack-26-sheep (which is for is for hackiest hack, while the try it out link is the actual project we did)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Collaborating with eachother, communicating with eachother about how we felt about certain aspects of our project. Being able to reach a final agreement about liking particular features of project.
What we learned
github, git, conflict management, time management????? group management, pivoting isn't the end, we need sleep, we did and good job and above all we learnt how to go forward with immense time pressure.
What's next for sheep
baaa baa bye!
