Digital education doesn't just "happen"! It requires careful planning and implementation. To create an engaging learning experience, the role of the instructor is optional, but the role of the learner is essential. When it comes to the design of effective learning experiences, one provocative question is worth a hundred proclamations. People expect to be bored by eLearning—let’s show them it doesn’t have to be like that! Women no longer have an "if I can" mindset. Now it’s more about, How I can’—be in tech, start something in tech, fund something in tech. That shift is exciting! And it happened because we created a network where we show, daily, that women are innovating. So our motto is to create such a digital education platform for women in tech, that it strengthens the community, provide resources, make coding easy and interesting, help women organize work and daily schedules. Just making their life better and their learning process smoother.

What it does

In this website, anyone can join us as a participant or mentor according to their proficiency. Here we have an open-source project corner where they can access projects from GitHub: beginner-friendly resources; hackathon corner in which we showcase various women hackathons; opportunity corner, where there are scholarships and internships; fun zone in which we have included a game, Girls in tech. AR visualizations in which they can watch Woman rise in tech, 3D AR model of the percentage of women in tech, AR quote. We have a corner- nearby, where you can see libraries near you and the location of other fellow mates near you. Here we provide many tests and, there is a try your code console, which gets redirected to an online GDB. Schedule corner where google calendar of shecoders is embedded, then there is our team, webinars, facts. A discord link so that women can form groups and discuss their doubts and concepts. A discord bot that helps women organizing and managing tasks and answers to their queries. An email-bot which sends regular emails to women about their classes, webinars, coding, and break time.

How We built it

We have used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap for front end development. We have used Heroku for hosting discord bot and email bot which are written in python. We have used echo ar and unity to launch games and 3D models, and WebGL to deploy them. We have to use Google cloud map API for the library nearby. And we have used the code of google calender to make it available inside the website.

Challenges We ran into

Being Indian, we didn’t get access to google cloud credits, neither We could use We faced problems in launching AR models in GitHub, Later we used WebGL.

Accomplishments that We are proud of

We were able to work on a project which is very much close to our heart. We learned to use Map APIs and calendar embedding, discord bots, email bots, and AR visualization.

What We learned

We learned to use Google cloud map API for the library nearby. We learned to use Map APIs and calendar embedding, discord bots, email bots, and AR visualization.

What's next for Women_In_Tech

We will make the website interface more smooth and will try to make it more user-friendly. We will launch it in our college so that it can be beneficial to all college students.
