Inspiration

We live in a generation of tech with endless possibilities. Tech has shaped,impacted provided same platform to almost every individual in the world. Eventhough we have all these , there exists some dissimilarities such as Gender gap, Gender Discrimination etc..
The main inspiration for our project is the differences in availability of opportunities,resources,knowledge for the people based on, where they live in (for example a country like India). The lives of Urban women and Rural women differs a lot. Rural women don't get the same exposure as those in urban. Their abilities and talents get limited due to various factors. Though there are various schemes available to uplift their lives , they belong to specific domain. We wanted to provide them with endless opportunities and a way to develop their skill and give them a wide exposure.

What it does

SheCan is a mobile application which acts as a great help in empowering life of women. This application ensures multiple solutions for many interconnected problems.

Provides information about Healthcare by various Articles and also contact the doctors for their query.
Acts as a learning platform by providing *various courses & lectures * under many categories
Shows the job opportunities available for them and helps to showcase their talents.
Helps to know information about their basic rights as a women.
Shows nearby Police station, Hospitals in case of emergency.
Various upcoming Events that people can participate in.
A community for women to post and share their views.

How we built it

Flutter-for building android Application
Firebase-for database
Material UI-for frontend

Challenges we ran into

Gathering the accurate information about problems in women empowerment.
We had a different time zones with respect to hackathon.
Even though we had a few difficulties ,we're definitely proud that we didn't leave this journey in between and we took all the difficulties as challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Able to implement our ideas for application that we thought of.
Wasn't sure we would complete, but we did it.

What we learned

Learned about phone authentication in Firebase.
Learned to implement a quick mobile application in a short span of time.
We learned a lot about time management and new ways to organize and plan our ideas and also how to divide our time between specific tasks and work more efficiently!
We learnt the importance of teamwork , collaboration.
