Inspiration

Finding internal forces and drawing force diagrams is always a tedious task hence I felt the need to automate it with the help of mecsimcalc and python.

What it does

It takes input from the user of the magnitude and position of a single moment and force and finds the reaction forces. Then the bending moment and shear force diagrams are plotted and maximum values are displayed.

How I built it

I built it using mechsimcalc and Python. I used the equations of equilibrium of forces to calculate the moment and sheer force at every point on the beam

Challenges I ran into

I wanted to include distributed loads as an input too but due to time constraints I was not able to complete that.

What's next for Shear force and bending moment diagram for a beam

In the coming days, I will finish the program to include distributed loads.
