Inspiration:

I was inspired by the rapid advancement of AI tools and wanted to push the boundaries to see if I could create a cinematic music video with a consistent character. As a filmmaker, I’ve always been fascinated by storytelling possibilities, and I wanted to test how AI could expand that. I didn’t just want any song, I wanted one with deep, meaningful lyrics. With ChatGPT, I brainstormed and created “She Rises,” an anthem celebrating the resilience of womanhood. That vision became the foundation of this project.

What it does"

“She Rises” is a music video that blends filmmaking craft with cutting-edge AI technology to tell a powerful story of resilience, strength, and legacy. It shows how AI tools can be used not only to create visuals but also to enhance the creative process from songwriting to post-production.

How we built it:

The song was developed with ChatGPT and produced using SunoAI. For visuals, RunwayML was central to building a consistent character, generating environments (like the desert scene), and handling lipsyncing with Act One. Google Veo2 was used for cinematic B-rolls, while editing and final assembly were done in DaVinci Resolve.

##Challenges we ran into: One major challenge was creating consistent characters across scenes, especially when switching camera angles. At the time, AI tools often struggled with maintaining continuity. Prompting efficiently without wasting credits was another hurdle, and as an independent creator, balancing the financial cost of using multiple platforms was tough.

I’m proud that this project successfully demonstrated how AI can be harnessed to tell meaningful stories, even with the limitations of the tools at the time. It combined my filmmaking background with emerging AI workflows and resulted in a music video that is both cinematic and deeply symbolic.

What we learned:

This project taught me how much AI can simplify workflows, from scriptwriting to visual effects, while also highlighting its current limitations. I learned the importance of choosing the right tool for each stage of production, refining prompts to save credits, and embracing AI as a collaborative partner in creativity.

What's next ?

I want to keep refining the fusion of AI and filmmaking; creating more polished results with better character continuity and exploring how AI can open new storytelling possibilities. She Rises is only the beginning, and I hope it inspires other creators to see AI as a powerful ally in shaping stories that entertain, challenge, and influence culture.
