📖 About the Project – Sharvya: For Every Dreamer 🌟 Inspiration

In rural India, students like 17-year-old Sameer dream of becoming coders, but face invisible barriers:

Online platforms in complex English

Typing and literacy struggles

Lack of mentors and poor internet access

We were inspired by these struggles to build Sharvya – a voice-first, AI-powered mentorship platform. Our mission is to empower every dreamer, no matter their background, to learn coding and technical skills in their own language—without typing.

🛠️ How We Built It

We combined modern technologies to create an inclusive learning platform:

React Native – to build a cross-platform mobile app for Android and iOS

Node.js + PostgreSQL – for backend and data storage (mentors, learners, sessions, resumes)

Google Speech APIs – for speech-to-text and real-time translation

TailwindCSS – for clean, responsive UI design

AI Mentor Matching – NLP-based recommendation system to connect learners with mentors

Voice-first Resume Builder – students can speak their achievements, which are auto-structured into a professional resume

We also added regional language audio courses, level-based quizzes, and milestone tracking to keep learning interactive and personalized.

Speech Recognition Accuracy – handling different accents, dialects, and background noise

Low Internet Connectivity – optimizing APIs and caching for offline-first use

AI Mentor Matching – ensuring fairness and diversity in recommendations

Voice-only UX – designing flows where typing is not required at all

Data Privacy – protecting voice data and personal information of young learners
