Inspiration

Constant news of more and more people dying because of starvation. Determined to minimize rate of both food wastage and starvation deaths.

What it does

This is a platform where Contributors and the concerned NGOs collaborate to ensure equal food distribution.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Server CPU overload in a free server where we initially hosted made the whole Wordpress website to get suspended. We solved this issue, by installing a local server by using WAMP so we had to start from scratch again. This cost us a lot of time which was more than 30% of total hackathon time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We tried our best to overcome the challenges faced. And we are proud that we had at least a basic working model.

What we learned

Collaboration and Teamwork gets things done rather than doing alone and it has easier workflow. We learned that we have to learn more, get deeper and sharpen our skills

What's next for ShareToSave

Next Phase is App development. We are also planning to add more features like Geofencing Push notifications and advanced filtering for easier searching and sorting.
