Shareminder

Inspiration

We had an idea that if one user can add an event or series of events and share those with all the user(s), who sign's up for that topic, can easily manage all their work and not miss any grouped events. If at least one user remembers and adds up an event, can notify all other users. So, we developed the app as an Pub/Sub Architecture model.

What it does

A user can create a events topic and others can subscribe to that topic to get notification of those events, which helps the users to not miss out any events and keep track of all the upcoming events .

Built using

Shareminder is collaboratively built using Figma tool for UI/UX design and Flutter with Firebase for both Android and Web platforms.

Challenges faced

There were few challenges we faced while developing the application like adding the events to the Google Calendar, consequences of having the multiple admins in the same group, animations and performance to take the user's experience to Next Level

Accomplishments

We are very happy and proud of the application it came out with a nice UI, animations, clean and efficient code, finally we have hosted a web version of the app on GitHub at Shareminder website and APK is available to download at Shareminder APK

What we learn't

We learned a lots of new stuff like the different packages available in Flutter and how to write a clean, short and efficient code.

Future Develpment

The next version of Shareminder shall have features like adding & deleting the events to & from Google Calendar respectively, having multiple admins in a group, filtering the events and groups.
