🥕 Project ShareFresh: Smart Agricultural Post Verification Platform

Project ShareFresh is a lightweight web platform designed to collect and verify agricultural posts shared by users. It empowers farmers, consumers, and organizations to post details about available agricultural produce, while also enabling a moderation system that ensures data quality and transparency.

🌱 Idea

In many agricultural communities, there's a lack of reliable digital tools to quickly share produce availability and validate posted claims. This leads to:

  • Wasted produce due to poor communication
  • False or misleading information harming trust
  • No streamlined way to escalate or resolve post issues

ShareFresh solves this with a user-first app to post produce data, and a secure admin dashboard for verifying and moderating posts in real time.

👥 User Side (Vue + CDN)

  • ✅ Submit new produce posts
  • 🧾 View all submitted posts
  • ⚠️ Report a post as false or suspicious

🛡️ Admin Side (Flask REST API)

  • 🔐 Admin login with token-based auth
  • 📊 Dashboard showing:
    • Total posts
    • Unique users
    • Number of reports
  • ❌ Admin can delete flagged or false posts

Frontend

  • Vue 3 via CDN (no CLI setup needed)
  • Vue Router for navigation
  • TailwindCSS for clean responsive UI
  • JavaScript Fetch API to communicate with backend

Backend

  • Flask REST API (modular design)
  • SQLite for database
  • Redis for temporary data/metrics
  • Token-based admin authentication

🚀 How to Run

Backend

cd backend
pip install flask flask-cors redis werkzeug
python app.py

Make sure Redis is running locally

Frontend

Just open frontend/index.html in your browser — no build step required.

🎯 Vision

This project demonstrates how decentralized communities can self-organize and report on agricultural output with minimal friction, all while maintaining data reliability through simple admin moderation.

Whether it's used by small farmer collectives or local marketplaces, ShareFresh offers a low-cost, transparent way to share and validate important agricultural data.
