Inspiration

Farming in Kenya

What it does

This tool breaks down costs of production and labor associated with sugarcane farming

How we built it

Using Claude code and Python designs we came up with a frontend UI that is simplistic.

Challenges we ran into

Explaining the concepts to claude brought a challenge of interpretation and as such some features were not included.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the animated aspect at the beginning, the metrics calculation and most of all the explainability of how the number came about.

What we learned

Prompting takes time to come up with a solid idea, design the structure and build it.

What's next for Shamba Bora

Developing an on device, tool capable of being interactive to many farmers to boost adoption.
