Inspiration
Lack of Effective Search Tools for Tibetan Script: Recognized the challenge of finding specific prayers in Tibetan script due to the complexity of the language, special symbols, and variations in suffixes.
Need for Enhanced User Experience: Wanted to create a tool that allows users to search for prayers in Tibetan script with high accuracy, reducing the time and effort required to find relevant content.
What it does
It can accurately search the prayer by giving the audio. After the processing the audio, it will show the correct prayer along with its title, pdf and youtue url
How we built it
Django Backend: The project is integrated into a Django backend, enabling easy management of prayer content and efficient handling of search queries. . Used a user built in tibetan string matching function. User-Friendly Interface Web-Based Search Tool: The project offers a user-friendly web interface, allowing users to easily search for and find specific prayers in Tibetan script without needing deep technical knowledge. React and Redux Integration: The frontend, built with React and Redux, provides a responsive and dynamic user experience, with efficient state management for handling search results and user interactions.
Challenges we ran into
Monlam ai intergration: We ran into a small molam ai tts api problem as the api key was expired. Lack of tibetan text matching algorithm: There is no known algorithm for tibetan text matching. Since the tibetan text has subscript.
