Inspiration
I've always loved clicker games for how simple yet addictive they can be — and pandas because, well... who doesn't love pandas?
This project started with a fun idea: what if a lazy panda could become a ninja master by doing absolutely nothing — except fight automatically while you snack?
I wanted to mix light humor with satisfying gameplay in a mobile-friendly way.
What I Learned
This is my first mobile game project, and I’ve learned a lot:
- How to use the Meta Horizon Worlds desktop editor
- The importance of simple UI and smooth controls for mobile users
- How to script game logic like tapping mechanics, auto battles, and idle progression
- That debugging animations is basically just a test of patience and inner peace 🧘
How I Built It
I built everything solo using the Meta Horizon Worlds platform. I focused on:
- Tap-to-train mechanics
- Auto-battle enemy waves
- Custom UI menus for upgrades
- Fun animations and ninja FX to make each win satisfying
I kept the project scope small but polished to make sure it runs smoothly on mobile and is fun from the first tap.
🧩 Challenges
As a beginner, one of the biggest challenges was learning how to balance performance and fun on mobile devices.
Also, writing the combat logic took time — I wanted the panda to feel like a skilled ninja, not just a randomly punching potato.
Accomplishments
- Finished my first mobile-ready game world in Horizon Worlds 🎉
- Built all game logic, visuals, and UI solo
- Created a game loop that friends said was “way too addictive” — I’ll take that as a win!
Next Steps
I’d love to add:
- More enemy types (maybe flying chickens or shadow monkeys?)
- A dojo upgrade system
- Daily challenges or leaderboard features
