Inspiration

Mom's everywhere trying to make Shabbos, using the resources available to them

What it does

Our website's aim is to take in the many factors that go into making Shabbos and create a website accordingly. Currently the website holds 2 options of menus for Shabbos as well as an attachment of each, which contain the links for the recipe.

How we built it

We built the quiz on PyCharm and the front end on PyCharm as well.

Challenges we ran into

The main issues we ran into were caused by the small size of our team and given more manpower we potentially could have incorporated all of our ideas. One challenge that is visible was our difficulty with embedding the quiz. We used python to create it but were unable to run it inline. Given more time we could have successfully converted it to javascript.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We truly persevered and we are proud of the solutions we made to various front end styling issues

What we learned

We learned how to use HTML on a far more complex scale than before

What's next for Shabbos Menu

The website would determine which day of the week it is, how many people are coming, who those people are and the budget and plan the menu and its level of sophistication accordingly. Ideally it would pull on an API to determine the closest supermarket by location and provide a grocery list.
