SGSL Hands is a two-way accessibility tool that helps Deaf and hearing people communicate using Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) and spoken English. Signed messages are recognised and converted into spoken English, while spoken replies are transcribed and matched to supported SgSL video responses. Our current prototype demonstrates the system in a hawker-centre setting, but the same approach can be applied to clinics, retail counters, schools, service points, and other everyday interactions.
