Inspiration
Seeing people in the community who suffer from some visual impairment and the difficulty they have in carrying out activities
What it does
Plays audios that contain information about supermarket products as well as instructions to guide you
How we built it
We use a development card as our brain of the project, which communicates with an RFID reader module and this reads the tags that will be placed in the halls and depending on the content of this will be the audio that will be extracted from the database.
Challenges we ran into
establish communication with the SPI protocol between the development card and the RFID reader and learn how to use the raspbian interface
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having created a potential solution that can help many people and create real change in the community
What we learned
We learned to use a completely new operating system and many of the functionalities of the raspberry, such as its internal registers, as well as learning to program radio frequency tags.
What's next for SGB
Implement it in all supermarkets, in addition to implementing many improvements and optimizing its design, in addition to exploiting its use and configuring it for new spaces.
