Inspiration

Everywhere there is a rise in covid cases and lack of availability to deal with them. Our group discussed this problem and came up with the idea of SfUIT, which is a cost-efficient health monitoring system.

What it does

Our Solution for the mentioned problem statement is SfUIT that is a Smart fabricia Using Internet of Things. Hence our product, SfUIT would monitor user health and update him/her with their health status accordingly. We shall also design our SAAS and Web App for displaying user’s health. SfUIT would most probably be the suitable product that could compensate for the ongoing demand for Health Monitoring devices. Also in these days, everyone is so busy that they don't spend much time checking their entire health status regularly, SfUIT does it thereby making their work easy.

How we built it

The embedded circuit inside SfUIT detects vital health parameters ( Heart Rate, ECG, Body temperature, Oxygen Levels being essential once) based on which our system monitors the health status of the user and these analog values detected using sensors are sent to Microcontroller. Using ADC (Analog to Digital Converters) we convert Analog values to Digital values. These values are then sent to Cloud where data is processed. Based on the processed data, the system decides whether the health status of a user is Normal or Abnormal. Further, the data is displayed on our SOS and Web App, where users can have a look over his/ her health Stats. If the user data is found abnormal, then he shall be notified immediately, and also a nearby Health Care Centre is also informed if health values exceed a particular limit. Hence, the user shall be monitored continuously. All this processed data after passing through IoT Messaging Protocol is stored in our DataBase.
Client-side, Network Side, and Server-side are provided with standard Security by applying encryption algorithms, thus making data secure.

Challenges we ran into

We have faced a problem in connecting ESP32 boards with AWS IOT core in a many to one fashion, so we have published a topic that is dynamic using #, hence the problem is solved. Also, we have faced an issue while interfacing MAX30100 sensor wiring in ESP32 and we have overcome it by studying documentation.

It was easily accepted by a group of people and they were happy to do user acceptance and they loved it and they were looking forward to buying it.

What we learned

Teamwork, solving complex problems, basic marketing, the importance of demand and supply, and time management.

What's next for SfUIT (Smart fabricia Using IoT)

Along with the essential health parameters, we are also thinking of providing the Pedometer for tracking the total distance person has walked for a particular day and an IR sensor for maintaining social distancing. There is also a GPS tracker that tracks the user’s location, which would be invoked if user health tracking is suddenly abrupted and immediately informed to nearby Health Care centers.

Business Model

As the saying goes “MORE THE DEMAND, MORE WOULD BE THE SUPPLY” that is to meet the growing demand of Health Monitoring Systems, we would keep refining our SfUIT so that the gap between people and monitoring their health would decrease.

Our SfUIT is a wearable that has sensors embedded so buying that would create finance and also they will be charged for SAAS for providing premium features. For premium users there will be no ads otherwise ads will be included based on the parameters.

Hence SfUIT, SAAS, and advertisements are the sources of income and they can be scalable on the international market.
