INSPIRATION
Our inspiration has been the soldiers themselves. The hard work they put in to protect our country and blood and sweat shed while defending our enemies should not go to waste due to our ignorance of safeguarding the country's top-secrets and priorities.
WHAT IT DOES
It is our first line of defense against the cyber criminals. It helps put up a strong authentication process as well as secure the data through encryption that makes it impossible to break through.
HOW WE BUILT IT
We used html and JavaScript for authenticators and encryption. We brought in various concepts of each section and combined them together under one platform.
CHALLENGES WE RAN INTO
Writing codes for encryption was very challenging as well as adding layers of security during the process of authentication. We were submerged with too many ideas and it was a bit hard to organize our solutions into a single structure for presentation and implementation.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAT WE ARE PROUD OF
We are extremely proud of presenting our 2 part solution to the problem statement we selected. It’s a simple concept that everyone knows and yet fail to acknowledge the importance of it which is why we chose this idea to preach more about it’s significance and improvements we can bring about.
WHAT WE LEARNED
We learnt various things that will not only be useful for us for this hackathon but help us improve our knowledge and application for other problem solving scenarios. We learnt about the importance and process of authenticators and various kinds of attacks like brute force, man in the middle, etc. It was only after reading these attacks we were determined to add a second part of the solution that is implementation of encryption to strengthen our overall application.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR SF-1
Whether we win this hackathon or not, we are definitely determined to implement our idea and bring it forward to the authorities of defense. We would love to see results for the hard work we put in by getting the guidance of such esteemed personnel for any improvements or suggestions to our proposal and further implement it.
