II. Health facilities: this plays a major role in environmental health promotion settings because, it also provides an opportunity or something you can call a new hope for the disabled or people facing social problems by the construction of more rehabilitation institutes to help decrease the rate of suicide; an individual may feel insecure about themselves to the extent of wanting to end their lives, with a rehab doctor to assist, he or she may have less cases of suicidal wishes. So therefore, it may help decrease the rate of death in communities. The hospital, as we very know is a place for the sick, in this case, if there are more environmental health educationist to educate them on the things to do to avoid a second similar situation from re-occurring , may serve the patients as educational tools or wire through which they can share or broadcast teachings concerning health through their everyday life, at workplaces , churches , farms and even amongst their fellow-sick friends. III. School- based settings: environmental health is promoted mostly in schools because in modern world, that is where the youth are normally found. About over half the population of a country like Ghana are either in tertiary , high schools, primary and nursery which gives the environmental health officer an advantage over talking or saying on thing to a mass population at almost the same time, this can be done through; a) Having access to adequate clean water, indirectly telling the students the essential use of pure drinking water etc. b) Disposable cans at their appropriate places with clearly stated labels ensuring that students do not mix wastes, note; this also plays a role in the importance of recycling c) Proper ventilation in class for enough fresh air to passing and out d) Most of all, education based on preventive medicine that is measures to keep the environment clean enough to drive infectious diseases like cholera ( vibrio cholera) , malaria ( plasmodium) away. e) Project work based on health promotion will help students to acquire more knowledge and skills and understanding. s the saying goes, experience is the best teacher f) Screening of diseases will also help reduce the effects of diseases on students. g) Workplaces: at work, hazards could rampantly reduce if people realize the need for respect amongst themselves and learn how to talk, relate with others and consider feelings of others when making vital decisions. h) Institutional settings: institutions like churches, schools etc also promote health through education. Example, students of hygiene, Ho , finding time once a while to have a talk on certain topics to educate people in various institutions on environmental health.
