Inspiration

Our inspiration was primarily our current position as students who will be looking at entering the job market once we complete our program. We feel anxious about getting a job and maintaining it and having a platform to help us find relevant jobs and upgrade our skills would be very helpful.

What it does

Is a platform for users to find tech-related jobs as well as a place to find courses to upgrade your skills once you have a job or if you are missing a key skill from your resume.

How we built it

We built our app using the Next.js framework with Javascript and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

We initially created a pretty large scope with 4 pages to code then realized midday that we would not get these done. We had to reduce our scope and focus on the MVP which in our case was getting the landing page, index page, and skills page.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We completed the code for 3 pages including mobile view within the allotted time frame. Our designers managed to design a professional-looking application in a matter of a few hours.

What we learned

We learned how to import fonts into Nextjs. We learned how to create a parallelogram with code. We learned that when on a tight timeline, you can not complete the project completely and you need to pick your most valuable assets.

What's next for Team Hackers

Coding the missing page as well as adding the missing functionality such as the sliders and log-in.
