Inspiration
We wanted to build a smart service robot that reduces manual effort and improves hygiene in restaurants, hospitals, cafeterias, and public spaces through affordable automation.
What it does
Servonix is a smart serving and cleaning robot. It can respond to voice commands, follow predefined routes, detect obstacles, and assist in serving. It can also be controlled through our mobile application, making it easy to operate remotely.
How we built it
We built Servonix using Arduino Uno, ultrasonic sensors, DC motors, a motor driver, Bluetooth module, rechargeable battery, and a custom-built chassis. We also developed a mobile application for wireless control and integrated voice commands, route following, and obstacle detection.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges in balancing the robot, integrating the app with the hardware, improving navigation accuracy, and ensuring smooth communication between all components.
What we learned
We gained hands-on experience in robotics, Arduino programming, mobile app development, sensor integration, Bluetooth communication, and teamwork.
What's next for Servonix
We plan to add AI-powered navigation, computer vision, autonomous mapping, and cloud connectivity to make Servonix even smarter and more useful in real-world environments.
Conclusion "Unlike a basic robot, Servonix combines a mobile application, voice assistant, route following, obstacle detection, smart serving, and automated cleaning in a single platform. It is designed to provide an affordable and practical solution for restaurants, hospitals, offices, and other public spaces."
