Inspiration
We started building this website with the mindset of helping our fellow Malaysians, who are currently facing financial crisis due to the pandemic. This website should be able to provide a mean for them to earn amidst the strict restrictions brought upon by the pandemic.
What it does
ServisKita provides a platform for service providers to offer their services be it an online service or a physical service. Users that intend to obtain a certain service can browse through the platform to look for multiple services. The recommended service providers that are listed for users are sorted based on location (Local) and customer satisfaction. However, if the service required is a physical service such as delivery or repairing, the service providers that are prioritized based on the location followed by customer satisfaction. This an effort to ensure local service provides are able to work even with the restrictions and be able to grow the economy.
How we built it
Our prototype has been implemented with two methods. Our main prototype is done by using a Justinmind a free prototyping tool. Our 2nd prototype is implemented by coding the user interface by using HTML,PHP and Javascript.
Challenges we ran into
- Choosing the concept for the prototype.
- Deciding the language to run the program on.
- Getting familiarized with new platforms to prepare the prototype.
- 24 hours time limit
- Inexperience in hackathons

- We get to create this project even if it does not complete
- Despite with our inexperience, we get to come up with an idea and prototype
What we learned
There are a few things that we learned in the hustle of making this project. Among them is the importance of prototyping and designing before making ServisKita and official product. This technique helped us save a lot of time and become more focused on detecting the flaws of ServisKita.
What's next for ServisKita
- The next step would be to carry out efforts to get more service providers offering their services on the platform. Without service providers this app will not be able to thrive.
