Inspiration
I kept seeing small business owners in forums asking how to set up AI chatbots for their customer service — and most of them had zero coding experience. The tools out there are either too technical or way too expensive. I thought: if MeDo lets you build apps just by talking, why not build something that lets their customers do the same thing?
What it does
ServiceBot Studio helps business owners create their own AI customer service chatbot without writing any code. You paste in your FAQ docs or product info, pick a personality (professional, friendly, casual), and the app shows you a live preview of how the bot would actually respond to customers.
There are four main sections:
- Knowledge Base Builder — drop in your FAQ content and it structures everything into Q&A pairs you can edit
- Personality Designer — set your brand tone, company name, and see how the AI adapts its responses
- Chat Preview — test drive conversations as if you're a customer, see how the bot handles different questions
- Analytics Dashboard — metrics on common questions, response quality, satisfaction scores
How we built it
100% on MeDo. I used the Deep Build mode — described what I wanted in plain English, went back and forth refining each page, and MeDo generated the whole thing. Five pages total, all connected. No code written manually. The whole build process took a few focused sessions.
What makes it special
There's a fun recursive thing going on here: MeDo is a platform where you describe apps in words and it builds them. I used that to build a platform where business owners describe chatbots in words and it builds them. It's MeDo's superpower, one level up.
Challenges we ran into
Getting the chat preview to feel realistic was tricky — it needed to pull from the knowledge base and adapt to the personality settings at the same time. Took a few rounds of prompt iteration in MeDo to get the data flow right between pages.
What we learned
Describing the user journey to MeDo works way better than giving it technical specs. When I started saying "the user pastes their FAQ, then clicks preview, then sees a conversation" instead of listing database schemas, the output quality jumped.
What's next
- Hook it up to real messaging channels (WhatsApp, LINE, Messenger)
- Add multi-language support so businesses can serve international customers
- Build out the analytics with actual sentiment analysis
