Inspiration
The search for local resources and community can be difficult. When resources for mental health are buried, people who require them cannot access them in time. This lack of accessibility is a hurdle that must be combated.
What it does
Our project is the creation of an open course API that allows all these hidden resources to be compiled into one location for easy accessibility. It allows other people to add resources as it is open source as well as filter through to find something suitable for their needs without stress.
How we built it
By creating a data scrapper, we collected information from organization websites that offer mental health resources. Using this data, we created a database to contain it. Finally, using ReactJS we connected the front end and back end in order to display this data for users to view.
