Serenity

Inspiration

Recently, I started journaling and it allowed me to see my thoughts much more clearly and reflect back on how I was feeling on days before.

What it does

You login and are greeted with a dashboard containing the calendar, a random quote, and a simple todo list. Although we have not persisted the data of the calendar yet, we will continue to work on the project!

How we built it

We built this web app with Nextjs (react) and supabase as the backend.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many challenges, mainly with quote generation in the dashboard with @vercel/og as the styling was confusing a bit. The main issue we ran into was with Supabase AuthUI

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is our first full stack nextjs app and our second complete nodejs project we've worked on. For the time, we got a lot of preogress!

What we learned

We learned how to make full stack apps with NextJS and Supabase and good type safety practises along the way (although it wasn't all fun and games)

What's next for Serenity

We plan to continue developing Serenity and make more designs and finish up the codebase, and hopefully deploy it in the coming weeks. I am passionate about this project and RecessHacks has allowed us to
