We were inspired by how overwhelming and negative today’s social media has become. Many people, especially teens and young adults, struggle with expressing emotions, dealing with stress, and finding safe online communities. We wanted to build a platform that actually supports mental well-being, reduces misinformation, and creates a healthier digital space. Throughout the project, we learned how technology, psychology, and design must work together to create meaningful digital experiences. We explored emotional AI, ethical content moderation, fact-verification methods, and privacy-first app design. We also learned how important user empathy, accessibility, and safety are in building social platforms. Databases structured for secure, privacy-focused user data Each module was built to reduce toxicity and promote supportive engagement. Our biggest challenges were ensuring accuracy in misinformation detection, balancing emotional AI with user privacy, designing safe community guidelines, and creating an interface that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. Integrating mental-health sensitivity into features required careful research and thoughtful implementation.
