Inspiration
After applying various internships, we found that we get little to no response. The lack transparency can easily frustrate an individual while the mass of applications can overwhelm the recruiter. In order to make the hiring process for streamlined and efficient, we created Serein.
What it does
Serein simplifies individual's resumes and turns into radar chart for easy access by the recruiter. Instead of relying on traditional AI and ML means of sifting through resumes, Serein uses a chart to compare individuals. It allows for recruiters to be able to make decisions fast in an unbiased way, and allows applicants to get some feedback and be able to adjust their resumes for later job hunts.
How we built it
Utilizing Google's Cloud Tech Analysis, we can quantify applicant strength and hiring criteria into a set of categories. We later display it using a web app created from React.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating the radar chart into our web app caused some troubles.

We created a project that all of us on the team could use in the future.
What we learned
We learned to use Google's API to analyze text.
