SEOS (Smart Early Observation System) is an AI-powered neonatal support app I built to make early newborn screening and next-step guidance accessible using just a smartphone—especially in low-resource settings where a pediatrician isn’t always immediately available. SEOS runs a live video screening flow through the phone camera to analyze visual risk cues (like jaundice-like discoloration and other observable red flags) and then pairs that with cry pattern analysis from short microphone recordings to flag distress-related patterns. The experience is tied together by an interactive clinical guidance AI agent that takes the video + audio signals plus a quick intake form (symptoms, feeding, behavior, delivery context) and produces conservative, guideline-informed recommendations with clear “go now” red-flag warnings, while avoiding overconfident diagnosis. It also generates a clean handoff summary that a caregiver can show to a clinician, and includes nearby pediatrician/clinic discovery on a map with quick actions so families can get timely care. Overall, SEOS is built to turn a phone into a practical, step-by-step neonatal support workflow: capture signals → interpret risk → explain what it means → guide the safest next action → connect to real care fast.
