Inspiration
Watched Margin Call and wondered what a modern risk dashboard actually looks like. Couldn't find good examples online, so I built my own movie-style version.
What it does
It synthesizes vast amounts of data from across the bank into an intuitive, visually driven interface. By providing dynamic scoring, predictive insights, peer benchmarking, and direct, actionable recommendations, it empowers financial institutions to not just understand their risk, but to anticipate and manage it strategically.
How I built it
Started with basic HTML/CSS, added Tailwind for styling, used Chart.js for graphs, and wrote way too much JavaScript for the interactive features. Built one section at a time.
Challenges I ran into
Making the dynamic risk formula work mathematically. Understanding Chart.js documentation. Mobile responsiveness was painful. Almost quit around day 8 from sheer boredom of creating fake data.
