Inspiration: The need for us to check in with ourselves, in one small moment of privacy and clarity.
What it does: allows individuals to tell Sentric 5 stories given 5 prompts(each corresponding to one of Maslow's 5 needs.) Each story must be less than 2,000 words.
How we built it: starting with a series of loops in a simple IDE, constructing a database of terms that individuals could use in their story responses, assigning values to all those terms, and integrating the expert.ai API once the questions were fine-tuned
Challenges we ran into: having Sentric think on the fly(an issue Siri and Alexa run into as well)
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Positive feedback from people going through a difficult time
What we learned: people facing difficulties are willing to discuss their stories online if they are convinced others are reading
