Inspiration

Website security is often overlooked, leaving businesses vulnerable to attacks. We wanted to create a tool that makes professional-grade security testing accessible to everyone, combining AI and automation to act as an ethical hacker for any website.

What it does

SentinelMCP scans websites, simulates real-world attacks using AI-driven ethical hackers, and generates actionable feedback. It empowers website owners to quickly identify vulnerabilities, improve their security posture, and reduce reliance on costly penetration tests.

How we built it

We integrated MCP with custom AI agents that mimic hacker behavior, orchestrated automated attack simulations, and developed a feedback engine that presents vulnerabilities clearly. The system leverages cloud infrastructure for scalable, on-demand testing.

Challenges we ran into

Initially, our idea was to create a gamified educational website to teach everyday users about web security. However, we realized that by leveraging AI agents to perform real-world ethical hacking, we could deliver tangible value to enterprises. The challenge was pivoting from an educational concept to building a functional MVP capable of simulating attacks on real websites, orchestrating AI agents, and generating actionable insights, all within a short hackathon timeline.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built an end-to-end automated security testing tool that works on any website. The AI agents perform ethical hacking with high accuracy, and our platform produces actionable, easy-to-understand feedback for users.

What we learned

We learned how to orchestrate AI agents in a production-like environment, integrate them with MCP, and create an automated ethical hacking pipeline. We also gained insights into cybersecurity testing workflows and AI-driven vulnerability detection.

What's next for SentinelMCP

We plan to expand our coverage to more types of vulnerabilities, improve AI accuracy, and develop a user-friendly dashboard for real-time insights. Our goal is to make automated, intelligent website security testing accessible to businesses of all sizes.
