The Backrooms inspired me and I was always a really passionate in integrating generative AI with games

Uses LLM agent to generate a backrooms-like complex structure
How we built it
Using Godot and Cursor
Challenges we ran into
I spent the first 3 hours making a V1 that didn't work. I figured I need to be more structured and organized so I retried in Godot.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I coded very intentionally in the second iteration (current iteration) and kept strong agency and organization over my project instead of letting the AI purely vibe code it.
What we learned
Cursor is super powerful, but it should mainly be used to implement things. Strong agency and understanding is super important when vibe coding
What's next for Sentient Backrooms but its lowkey paralysed for now
Make the sentient backrooms not paralysed and lowkey start generating rooms
