Inspiration
I got a drone and wanted to play with it during HackTX.
What it does
You control a drone using the Sensel Morph.
How I built it
I used a python library that sends messages to the drone via it's own wifi network.
Challenges I ran into
Finding a platform to even develop on was half the hackathon. Other than that, syncing the different actions of the drone was very challenging.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
That I got a drone to fly via my own code, and the controls are decently robust and stable.
What I learned
Windows is extremely frustrating for development. I learned about sending messages via wifi and some new technologies.
What's next for Sensel Drone Control
Rotation. Panorama picture taking. Taking group pictures.
