How the system works.
Inspiration
We were inspired to come up with this solution after outburst of CORONA virus across the world. We previously had normal people tracking solution for enterprise, demential patients, elderly home cares.
What it does
We can find the patient and track them very accurately with in the confined location. We can also create a Geofence and track the patients in case they leave the geofenced area and trigger an alert via SMS and email in case the person leaves the area.
How I built it
With the COIN, we create a large, ultra-low power proprietary mesh network of sensor nodes with connectivity to the cloud via Wi-Fi. Each sensor node communicates with every other tiny sensor node as well as with the cloud. We have analytics and machine learning happening at the edge as well as on the cloud platform. COIN is meant for a variety of use cases in security, safety, condition monitoring & indoor real-time location management applications for assets & people tracking. We've currently got motion sensing, temperature & humidity sensors built in a coin-sized form factor! We help customers by improving their efficiencies, productivity, security and by reducing costs.
Each house, building, quarantine zone will have set of COIN units to cover the entire place with mesh network of fixed Coin units which are then connected to the cloud via our WiFi or Ethernet gateway and then COVID-19 positive patients needs to be tagged with an additional set of FIND units, thereby enabling accurate real time location tracking of all patients via the cloud. This is the setup for tracking application. So totally we will need one set of fixed COINs, one set of FINDs for people tracking. A FIND has to be tagged to the patients with necessary information like name, country etc to track it accurately and another set of fixed COINs in the specific rooms etc to serve as the backbone network for patients tracking and triangulation. One can also create Geofence so as to trigger an alert when the patient enters or leaves the designated area. Total time spent can also be monitored at various zones. All the alerts can be sent via SMS and email to the concern person if a person leave quarantine area.
Benefits: -Real time tracking of People. -Geofencing capabilities-alerts in case people enter or leave restricted area. -Increased productivity of people. No additional IT hardware required. -Real time alerts in case of crash, fall and emergency panic. -Emergency alerts can be generated by pressing a panic button or tapping. -In time, out time and total time spent by each person within a specified location can be calculated. -Location accuracy of +/-5 feet. -Large area can be covered using mesh network. -Economical and Easily scalable. Historical data analysis. -Rechargeable battery with single charge can last for 5 to 6 days. -Proprietary self healing and self learning dynamic mesh.
Challenges I ran into
The challenge was creating a proprietary mesh network. After an extensive research and development for 1.5 years, we have developed a Proprietary technology which is used in our COIN with the low power, high data rate mesh network of tiny sensors. Patents have been granted in USA and India for most of our product technologies and patents are being filed for the new COIN product as well. As the core product technology is ready with us, we provide solutions using a combination of our hardware and software based on industry and applications and not just the hardware. As of today, we are the only company in India providing this kind of products and solutions. We have NDA’s signed with most chip vendors- so, we are the first one to be notified in case of any new product launches.Technical know-how and capital-intensive industry are the entry barriers for other companies.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are proud of the fact that all the R&D is done in house, All the firmware is developed by our in-house team as well. SenseGiz has been chosen as one of the iconic IoT start-ups under the NASSCOM – Govt of India IoT Center of Excellence and received most promising IoT startup award by IESA.
We have also received National Entrepreneurship Award from Govt of India and Ministry of Skill development under Engineering category in the year 2017. We have also won CISCO starburst award, IMC grand innovation challenge, MSIL top startup award.
What I learned
We have learned to overcome the situation with our solution and save lives.
What's next for SenseGiz Solution for Real time COVID-19 Patient Tracking.
We are planning to take it to the next level and create social values to make it more of a health and safety product. Which will help in well being and saves lives of the people.
