Inspiration
We were inspired by the challenge pet owners face in consistently feeding their pets the right portions at the right time.
What it does
Sense-a-Snack dispenses precise portions using IoT and releases food only when the RFID-tagged pet approaches.
How we built it
We combined IoT-controlled gates, RFID sensing, and servo motors to create a smart three-chamber feeding system.
Challenges we ran into
We faced issues with RFID accuracy, servo calibration, and seamless IoT integration.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a working prototype with smart portion control, reliable proximity detection, and remote control.
What we learned
We learned how to integrate hardware and cloud-based IoT systems for responsive and personalized automation.
What's next for Sense-a-Snack
We plan to add feeding analytics, predictive portioning with AI, and prepare the product for mass deployment.
