Many elderly parents and grandparents feel scared or left behind by modern technology. They want to use smartphones and computers but find them confusing and difficult. SeniorConnect is a simple app that teaches them step-by-step from absolute zero.

What we built:

Large, clear text and big buttons Friendly illustrations

We started with English and plan to add Hindi and Urdu soon.

How we built it:

We used GPT-5.6 and Codex to create the app structure and documentation. We worked together on the frontend, backend, and AI parts. This project was inspired by seeing our own elders struggle with technology.

Challenges:

Making the app very easy for seniors while keeping it powerful with AI.

We hope SeniorConnect helps thousands of elderly people feel confident with technology.

I worked on the the simple four-button home flow, the TV-style YouTube screen and collected 2000 videos for elderly in several nations, and improved the style of 'speak'. I also set up lightweight CLI/emulator docs and a PR-only workflow so the team on Mac and Windows could collaborate without pushing straight to main.
