Seneca Connect Application

Seneca Connect isn’t just another app taking up space—it’s a user-friendly, interactive tool built specifically to serve the needs of Seneca Street CDC and the Seneca Babcock community.

Our inspiration for this project surrounded Seneca Street CDC’s mission statement and core values. We wanted to create a platform that promoted community, was easily accessible, and aligned with the company itself. We wanted to be able to connect those within, as well as those who are interested in the rich history of the area. In terms of physical design, we utilized the brand colors and typeface presented on the website to maintain brand image.

Our app, Seneca Connect, has various features that are user-friendly and promote community as well as brand image. It’s functionality ranges per user, as employees have greater access to adding, orgnaizaing and promoting content. Users can view content and talk in the community chat, and there will be a guest feature for those who don’t want to go through the hassle of creating an account. There are 7 pages including a sign-in, home navigation page, map, calendar, community chat, and history.

Though we didn’t do any physical coding, we created a mock up using Figma to showcase our design. We also utilized Canva to create the presentation of our mock up.

We ran into various challenges throughout the process, and most were noted while speaking to mentors. We worked diligently to overcome these challenges, and collaborated to make our product even more impactful to the community.

We are overall very proud of one another, and our final mock up. We believe this app holds much potential for the Seneca-Babock community. We learned lots from one another, and each brought our unique skill set to contribute to the project at hand.

Next, we hope Seneca Street CDC can take ideas from our mockup to promote community, organization, and overall promote beneficial changes! After watching the video describing the programs present, we believe our mock up supports the fun promoted within the community! We had so much fun configuring this!## Inspiration
