SemTrack (Seminar Tracking and Attendance System)

SemTrack is a smart, efficient seminar attendance system designed to streamline the tracking of student attendance through location-based verification.

Students who leave seminars immediately after signing in should not be marked as having attended the seminar.

What it does

Lets students see their seminar attendance, sends them notifications as reminders and checks if they are still at the seminar location when the seminar is done.

How we built it

Using mainly AWS DynamoDB and React Native

Challenges we ran into

Integrating together all our different code was challenging.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to meet the objectives of the challenge to make an accurate, automated seminar attendance system that reduces attendance tracking errors and verification time, gives students timely reminders, prevents cheating for fair reporting, and collects valuable feedback for faculty.

What we learned

To perfect the application takes time and lots of iterations.
