Inspiration builds on the real premise from semat.md: org charts are stuck in the present tense, and because they model a role as a title attached to a person, a rename or split doesn't just lose history, it falsifies it.

What it does covers the swimlane, bidirectional selection, the scrubber and the 1 July 2023 split, the derived quality panel, the headcount band, CSV import, and the URL/PWA bits.

How we built it is the stack plus the decisions that were deliberate: slot model, derived-not-stored, ISO strings never Date, the dependency choices, Tailwind v4 in CSS, lane height measured from CSS, injectManifest with prompt.

Challenges are the six real ones from the git history and this session, with their actual numbers: the hidden adding ~960px of document scroll, 1021-03-04 producing 12,030 samples and ~4,000 tick labels, coversDate reporting "0 of 6 seats filled", the three-pixel-sliver right-edge bug, and the two brand oranges sitting at 1.004:1 contrast against each other.

What we learned leads with the insight from the last fix: padding an axis turned out to be a data-model decision, not a styling one.

What's next is honest about push being written but never observed working, and about the unconditional insert policy that needs fixing first.
